Summer Mocktails

Our talented Lead Nutritionist, Alexandra Dusenberry, shared some of her favorite refreshing recipes for alcohol-free spritzers.  With seasonal fresh fruits and ingredients like ginger these quick refreshers have benefits including reduce inflammation, manage blood sugar and support heart health.  Easy and naturally tasty mocktails to cool you off the Cal-a-Vie Health Spa way on the hottest days of summer!

Strawberry Basil Cooler

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1-2 tablespoons fresh basil (chopped)
  • 3 cups sparkling water (chilled) 

Directions:

  • Place lemon juice, strawberries, and 1 cup ice cubes in blender, then cover and process until blended.
  • Add basil and pulse 1-2 more times to combine.
  • Divide strawberry mixture between La Rochere Bee Tumblers available at the Cal-a-Vie Boutique.
  • Fill with ice and top with sparkling water. 

Blueberry Ginger Zinger 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Blueberries
  • 1 Lime (sliced into rounds)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger (peeled and sliced)
  • 6 Ice Cubes 
  • 3 cups Sparkling Water

Directions:

Divide blueberries, lime slices, ginger and ice between La Rochere Iced Tea glasses available at Cal-a-Vie Boutique. Top with sparkling water.
